Dr Stephen Lee, PhD (in Law), Managing Director

A former Senior Police Inspector, with 16 years services with the Royal Hong Kong Police (RHKP). In May 1992, Dr Lee left the RHKP under a special retirement scheme to facilitate constitutional change in HK before 1997. Dr Lee specialized in the field of Protective Security and worked as bodyguard to two HK Governors and many visiting dignitaries when they were visiting HK in the 1980s.

Before joining Abbott Laboratories (89th on the Fortune 500), Dr Lee worked in Lucent Technologies as corporate security manager for Asia Pacific Region. In January 2004, Dr Lee joined Abbott Laboratories as regional security director for Asia Pacific and Australia.

Dr Lee has a Doctoral Degree in Chinese Law at the Renmin (People’s) University, Beijing, P.R. China (RUC), a Master’s Degree in Language and Law (MALL – Legal Drafting and Translation) and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB (Hons)).

In January 2000, Dr Lee was awarded the Ten Outstanding Lifelong Learner Award in the First Lifelong Learning Festival held in Hong Kong.

Dr Stephen Lee is a highly skilled security professional, and a result-oriented leader who can lead a corporate security team and strives to implement a risk-based approach in every facet of the corporate security landscape to deliver and maintain effective programs designed to enhance the safety and security of your facilities, assets, and personnel, throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

His objective in this process is to align resource capacity with business risks and priorities through a collaborative engagement of your key businesses, markets, and senior leaders, within each of the geographic regions.

Dr Lee is a security professional – Subject Matter Exper (SME) in Executive Protection, Corporate Security and Crisis Management for over 46 years in the HK Government and two Fortune 100 Multinational Corporations.

CK Chan, Director – Protective Security

Mr. CK Chan has spent his last 17 years of service in a leading Risk Management Consultancy firm in the Asia Pacific rim. His role was focused on strategic planning and implementation of executive protection, venue security and risk management projects.

CK served in the Hong Kong Police for over 25 years becoming a specialist in counter terrorism and VIP protection. His career in the police force highlighted with his assignment as the prime training officer of the Police Dignitary Protection Unit after 6 years operational experience protecting Royalty, Heads of State and Heads of Government. He developed broad experience and skill by networking and training with the world’s foremost Counter Terrorist and Dignitary Protection agencies including Britain’s Special Air Service, Royal Military Police and Royalty Protection Group, the United States Secret Service, State Department, Delta Force and Navy Seals.

After leaving the law enforcement, CK has specialized in providing a protective security capability to high profile industrialists and top CEOs of Multi-National Corporations. He is also involved in formulating crisis management plans and venue security programs for major events such as Global Forum 1999 & 2001, and DMN strategies – CEO Forum 2002 ~ 2004.

CK has established excellent liaison with various national security and police agencies. He holds a high reputation in the security community and is acknowledged as an expert in the field of VIP protection and event security management.

Dennis Chan, Director – Technical Projects

Dennis has thirty-five (35) years of working experience in commercial security industry since Year 1989, having served in a a leading Risk Management Consultancy firm based in Hong Kong for eight (8) years where he was a manager in the Technical Services responsible for managing technical security projects in Hong Kong and China. He has received extensive internal training for both technical surveillance and related electronic countermeasures by an ex-Government technical specialist. He has been a TSCM operator to perform the service across the APAC.

Dennis has also been trained and involved in many Executive Protection (EP) and event security operations. He was a member of an in-house VIP Protection Team of one of a highly individual families (Vice Chairman of one of the largest Property Developers) in Hong Kong for two (2) years.

After graduated from secondary school, Dennis has subsequently worked for a telecommunications company and two major Hong Kong based security companies responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of electronic security systems, in addition to being a recognized expert in locks and safes.

Presently, Dennis is the Head of our Projects and Services on technical security services who advises clients on appropriate technology systems and effective integration. The scale of projects included immediate deployment of over 300 surveillance cameras and alarms monitoring for securing venue over the exhibition and auction events. He has been heavily involved in assisting a number of high prestige brands for their security system design, planning & installation over their stores in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Mainland China & Singapore.
